Distinctive Unit Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned as follows: Sable, an eagle's head erased within an annulet, in chief a sword point down and key ward to base saltirewise Or; a bordure Buff charged with thirteen mullets Azure. Attached below the shield is a light blue scroll doubled and inscribed "SERVICE TO VICTORY" in Gold.

Symbolism
Buff and light blue are associated with the Army Quartermaster Corps. Gold is emblematic of excellence and its contrast with black emphasizes the day and night, around the clock mission of the Quartermaster Logistics Warriors. The elements on the shield are adapted from the Quartermaster branch insignia. The sword gives emphasis to military preparedness and combat logistic support. The key represents storekeeping functions, service and supply management. The stars refer to the original 13 colonies. The annulet expresses a wheel or transportation and the distribution of army materiel. The eagle is expressive of our national spirit and the defense of our freedoms.
